The Red Clip

The red clip (part number 986.504.986.00) is snapped into the hole where the top latches on the windshield frame just above the rear view mirror. This clip fools the alarm system into thinking that the top is closed and therefore keeps the interior motion detectors enabled. Any movement inside the car will trigger the alarm. It takes a few seconds for the alarm to react.
