Replacement Head Units

The Alpine head unit is a great replacement for the crappy Becker unit that came with your boxster. My audio guy wired it into my factory amp to keep the wiring to the speakers intact. It drives the factory amp much better than the factory head unit, and the thing makes my car thump! Yeah, it doesn't look all that factory now, but it sure sounds a million times better, and it has iPod control built right into the display. You can't lose for $225.00.

I have a 2001 Boxster with 4x40 watt factory amp and doorspeakers with a Becker Traffic Pro, Replaced it with a new Becker Grand Prix 7990 with Ipod module. Fits right in, a real DIY job, can play MP3 and sound has improved a lot! Personally I like this better because a the Becker looks 100% factory. Next step is a speaker upgrade. I recommend Polk audio.
